Welcome to our ‘MUST Buy’ offer
A case of three wines from Portugal, Georgia & Lebanon:
- Amphora White, Herdade do Rocim, by ROCIM from Portugal
- K’Avshiri Red, by Vachnadziani from Georgia
- Désir Rouge, by Cháteau Oumsiyat from Lebanon
We at MUST Wine have been running around Europe to find these amazing wines for our customers—unique bottles that capture ancient craftsmanship and authentic regional character. Portuguese amphora wine, or vinho de talha, dates back to Roman times, when large clay vessels were introduced to the Alentejo region. These porous talhas allow gentle oxygen exchange during fermentation, giving the wines earthy depth and soft, rounded texture. Today, the revival of talha winemaking blends old-world tradition with modern precision.
Similar clay-based methods have defined winemaking for millennia in Lebanon and Georgia. In Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley, amphorae once stored wines destined for Mediterranean trade, while Georgia’s buried qvevri—some of the world’s oldest winemaking tools—create vibrant, structured wines with unmistakable identity. Us at MUST Wine want to introduce, or reintroduce, our customers to these remarkable clay-born traditions, inviting you to explore wines shaped by thousands of years of history.
